Sending out a regular invite to our local church Carlton-Kogarah Baptist Church (CKBC) which has its gatherings at 10am. We are not a megachurch or massive church, but instead emphasise a mainstream approach with an environment that's warm and welcoming. On the 2nd Sundays, I (Arthur) do the lead singing and there will be a morning tea afterwards. How to find us: The church is located at 63 Willison Road Carlton, next to the roundabout. There's plenty of street parking nearby. If you do attend, ask for Arthur before or after the service. Sending out a regular invite to our local church Carlton-Kogarah Baptist Church (CKBC) which has its gatherings at 10am. We are not a megachurch or massive church, but instead emphasise a mainstream approach with an environment that's warm and welcoming. The annual nationwide knockout football competition 'Australia Cup' is happening in NSW for 2025. NPL teams (2nd division, just 1 level below A-League) and local teams are participating in Round 4.

Every year or two, the Organ Music Society has a mega-celebration of the pipe organ with a series of events. In 2024, this will start with a cluster event to visit 3 pipe organs within University of Sydney...
Sunday 7th July 2024 - we will visit the Sydney University Great Hall (3.45pm), Wesley College (5pm) and St Paul's College (6.10pm). Each organ will involve a demonstration, then anyone who's musical can have a go on the organ or just listen and admire the surroundings. Personally, I have played the Sydney University Great Hall organ but not the others.

A live meetup to run together in the Run2Cure to help raise funds to fight against neuroblastoma (childhood brain cancer). Like previous in person events, the original format is retained with a run at the Domain and around the Mrs Macquaries Chair for a few loops. The annual nationwide knockout football competition (the Australia Cup) is starting up in NSW for 2024. Last week saw Round 2 and this week is Round 3. Loads of games featuring NPL and local teams are taking place in these rounds.

Let's play casual soccer at Ador Avenue (Rockdale) Reserve; temporary location away from Tempe Reserve as I have been advised that Marrickville FC is playing trial games at Tempe most Sunday afternoons until 5pm. Rockdale has several good synthetic grass pitches. Meet at the long benches along the side, if that is also used for a trial game until past 4.30pm (ask them when they stop if they are playing), we cross the bridge behind the toilets to the other ground McCarthy Reserve. Young Organists Day @ Sydney Town Hall!
To end off 2022, we are going to have a small group to see Young Organists' Day together. This features Sydney's best young organists play for almost 90 minutes in a free concert every year, and is easily the most attended organ concert in Sydney (attended by over 500 people every year). It's been quite a while between walks, so here is a nice peaceful walk to start off several walks throughout 2020. It will be going down south from Brighton-Le-Sands, and be a peaceful flat amble along the foreshore of Botany Bay. Organ concert: Young Organists' Day 2019 (free)
This is the annual Young Organists' Day concert which I do as a meetup every year. The concert features some of the finest organ talent in Sydney. We with our meetups like every year will be celebrating the joy of Christmas this Christmas Day at Kirkplace Kogarah. This English gathering goes from 9.30am to about 10.45am with snacks / refreshments afterwards. It's run by my relatively small, close-knit, loving and mainstream evangelical church Kirkplace Kogarah at their main hub (12-16 Derby Street, Kogarah).We know it can be hard visiting somewhere new. At our church we will sing Christmas Carols, hear a talk from a part of the Bible, and there will be moments to reflect and converse with our welcoming group (if you like). Barangaroo and (under) Harbour Bridge walk!
Time to resume my casual walk events with a walk involving the Sydney Observatory, Barangaroo and under the Harbour Bridge into The Rocks.
11am - Meet at Observatory Hill Park (the big open space just outside the observatory) at the main gates of the Sydney Observatory. I suggest catching the train/bus to Circular Quay or The Rocks and walking up Argyle or Cumberland Streets to get to the starting location.
